These blossoms are the scenery by which I flow with the surroundings and clasp all around me, between the flittering pink paints. The grass beneath and around is tepid with noontime laziness. I had always thought funerals were events where people made up the time that they hadn’t spent with the deceased. It always felt like that, as long as they were. Perhaps they were like that so the audience could stew in shame, having not paid any attention before.
