All Brings Madness in Love and War
They know nothings fair.
A small whisper in an unexpecting ear makes the body grow cold.
Mothers worry for their broken lives.
Worried voices are waved away.
The earth shatters beneath their feet.
Pain and loss are etched in the skin with needles,
So as to never forget.
Memories of things past whir, flicker across the mind.
Bitterness sits on the tongue, ready for retribution.
The heart turns a carcinogic black.
Wisps of smoked memories trail behind, licking at their heels.
A contemptuous soul emerges.
